Peace

I stepped outside the other day to find James and Kyle engrossed in watching the bees swarm around the flowers. You could feel the peace of the moment as they pondered the wonder of the working bees. I'm convinced that we need more moments like this in our lives.

Pirates

Adam...
"Pirates have gross teeth, mighty swords, and a parrot!" That's what he just walked up to me and said just now. I wanted to remember it.

Nice & Easy

I was very sad this morning when my alarm went off at 4:30am.... I am mourning the loss of nothingness. We had the best spring break ever just chillin'. One morning I even slept in until 8:00! Okay...I woke up at 5:00 and taught a class. But then I went back to bed and slept for an hour. It was amazing! The kids played nice...even though the weather was not...and it was just heaven not to have to go anywhere or do anything.

On Monday night we "Followed the Prophet" to the temple. We left footprints with scriptures on them at various locations that matched the scriptures of the steps it takes to get to the temple. ie... baptism at the stake center where James got baptized. The following is a picture of Adam finding his footprint. He was soooo excited! It was precious! It was a good night and I think the kids really enjoyed it and "got" it. The older ones anyways. Then we went for rootbeer floats at the new Sonic!

On Thursday night Jamie came over and we had an Office party...we were a little disapointed in the show....but it was still fun! Jamie brought the jello with paperclips and a marker...and the ice cream cake..."That's what she said!"

Ted took Friday off and we went bowling, to the movies, on a bike ride, and out to dinner. We had planned on going to a Mariners game in Seattle but thought we'd wait until it warmed up a bit. And I decided in the end it was way more fun to spend the time together then in the car driving for 8 hours! The kids really did have a grand day! And I think we'll just do this a couple more times this year and call it good as far as vacation goes, unless I win the lottery- the St. George lottery that is:) It was so nice to have fun...and then put them to sleep in their own beds!!!
