Okay...
So I was really sick of logging into my blog...and so were some other people...and some people didn't quite get it...so for a while I'll be unprivate...but I may switch back...I'm fickle- I admit it!

New Definition of Cold
Okay...so I bucked up...geared up...and got outside yesterday. When I left on my 6 miler it was 19 degrees. The way I usually get myself out the door in winter is by reminding myself that I'm always nice and toasty warm at the end of the run...that didn't happen yesterday. I was an ice cube. My fancy zoot suit did not suffice against these elements. Maybe if it had been 20 degrees it would have worked:) But one funny thing did happen. As I was running along I kept running through what felt like bug patches. You know, like when it's really hot outside and you run or walk through a patch of bugs. And I'd swipe around my face for a second and then it would happen again. Here is what I finally discovered....UNBELIEVABLE....my breath was freezing in the air and then hitting me in the face-in small buglike droplets! CRAZY! I am CRAZY! Suffice it to say, I am not running today. Although it is 25 degrees right now! Wooo-hooo!

Emma's Eyes
A glimpse of what life looks like from the vantage point of a six year old. It's a very different angle on what's important...what's fun...what's picture worthy. Emma got a camera for her 6th Birthday and has used it nonstop! Here are some of her pictures!!!

Mom working...

Very important picture!

Self portraits!

Emma loves to pose her Barbies...after she makes sure they are dressed modestly! (As modest as a barbie can be:)

This is who Emma sits next to in the van. Her ride partner!

Gunther taking a bath at our house after he found some cat poop. Emma thought he looked sooooooo funny! 'Cause he does when he's wet!

But really...we are looking forward to a fantastic year! Nothing fantastic planned really, but I think that's what makes it great! We'll just see what comes to us- go with the flow...hey! that ryhmes too! Here are some pictures...

Not so little Emma bug

I don't know how she ended up with that nick name-but that's what we called her when she was a baby and it still slips out now and then. She is turning into a little lady. Emma has a carefree-creative soul. She loves unconditionally, is observent to the needs of her family and zealous to serve! She adores her baby brothers- Kyle is a little bit easier to love right now then Adam, but she tries very hard to keep the peace with our #3. And she worships James. We are switching bedrooms around right now, all the boys together and Emma in her own room. She has sobbed herself to sleep two nights in a row now because she misses James. She said to me, "I'm going to miss James Mommy. He reads me stories and we cuddle up and tell eachother what we're going to do tommorrow." Oh my. What sweet kids I have. (We're going to put things back the way they were anyways because Adam won't stay in the bunk bed- he needs a room where he can be locked in:) We are so lucky to have Emma in our life. She loves to dance, sing, paint, help in the kitchen! Emma bears her testimony in Family Home Evening every week and it is wonderful and amazing to hear her sweet spirit growing. She truly knows that she is a daughter of God and that he loves her. There is nothing more important for her to know and I know that she will continue to share this knowledge with her friends and family through her kind and giving personality! We love you Emma! Don't grow up too fast!
